1 Saving Sanctuary, exhibition by award-winning photographer Sarah Booker commissioned by Citizens for Sanctuary ijuxtaposing the portraits and stories of those who have fled horrific situations in Zimbabwe, Darfur and Kosovo, and found sanctuary in the UK, with portraits of ordinary British people who explain where they find sanctuary, Sheffield Cathedral, 8am to 7.30pm.

3 Rooftop Dancing, modern sequence beginners' dance course, Scout HQ, Trippet Lane, 1.30 - 2.30pm, Ballroom and Latin beginners, 3.30pm - 4.30pm (2750446).

4 Annual Summer Fete, variety of traditional fete activities, stalls and entertainment for all the family, St. Patrick's Catholic Primary School, Barnsley Road, Sheffield Lane Top, 12-3pm.

5 Jazz at the Showroom, Sunday lunch session, Bill Sutton and Rob Skeet, Showroom Cinema Bar and Caf, 1pm-3.15pm

6 Acoustic Music, Red Deer, Pitt Street, off West Street, 4pm-7pm

7 Tombo Dojo, Japanese martial arts coaching, Croft House Settlement, 5pm-7pm (2827662).

8 Choral Evensong, with the Choir of St Nicholas. 6.30pm (free)
