1 Avatars, exhibition of digital art made by the children of Hunter's Bar Junior School working with the Sheffield based digital arts organisation Lovebytes to design their own characters and make computer games and interactive art, Showroom Cinema Lightwell, Paternoster Row.

4 The Saturdays, First tour for the all-girl group after success in the singles charts, City Hall, Barkers Pool.
5 Bee-kend, activities on a bee theme include watching Pif-Paf Theatre performing the Honey Show, getting sticky with the enabler team, creating some bee-inspired art and visiting the museum's very own swarm, Weston Park Museum, 11am – 4pm (free, no need to book).
6 Holiday Fellowship Walking Group, all welcome on countryside walks of approximately eight miles, meet Dore and Totley station, 9.30am, from Sheffield Interchange (call 2348190 for programme).
7 Bakewell International Day of Dance, 24 dance groups will be performing at six outdoor venues throughout Bakewell Including the farmers' market. 11.30am - 4.30pm.
8 Simon Peat, Walnut Club Restaurant, Hathersage, 7.30pm.
9 The Wizard of Oz (MGM), musical production by Reach For the Stage Musical Theatre School, Montgomery Theatre, Surrey Street, 2pm and 7pm (8 /6).
10 Salsa Dance Classes, with Cubana's resident salsa teachers Nicolai and Helena, Cubana, Trippet Lane, beginners, 12.30pm, improvers 1.45pm, advance, 3pm
