1 A Totley Song, songwriter Sally Goldsmith will help locals including residents of the home to write a new song celebrating the place where they live, Leonard Cheshire Home, Mickley Lane, 2.30pm-4.30pm.
2 Summer Fair, to celebrate the school's 175th birthday with bouncy castles, games, children's tombola, bottle tombola, books, plants, bric-a-brac, face painting, cafe bar, barbecue and more, Ecclesall Junior School, Ringinglow Road, 11am - 2pm (50p, free for children
3 Increpa 2, family-friendly cabaret-style show by Increpacion Danza, Lyceum Theatre, 2pm (10).
4 The Wilsons, A loud noise from the wonderful Wilson family from Teesside. Down to earth singing, outrageous humour and fabulous harmonies. Plus a singing session after the gig. Royal Traditions Folk Club, which is run by Jon Boden and Fay Hield, at The Royal Hotel, Dungworth, 7:30pm (Tickets 7 available from.royaltraditions.co.uk or from The Royal Hotel. 5 Family 5 Rhythms, opportunity for children and adults, parents, carers, grandparents, and friends etc to dance together, move your feet to the beat, no steps to learn, friendly fun, facilitated by Sarah Blagg, qualified 5 Rhythms teacher, Common Ground, Nether Edge, 11am to noon (book your place, katt@ecomail.org or07758 146130).
6 Friends of the Porter Valley, walk led by John Gilpin, discussing the Woodland Strategy of Sheffield City Council, meet Forge Dam Cafe, Fulwood, 10.30am (non-members 2).
7 Wildlife Photographer of the Year, exhibition of spectacular wildlife photography from around the world by winners, runners up and commended entries in the competition run by the Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife Magazine, Magna, 10am-5pm (5/ 3, 14 family ticket; free to Magna ticket holders).
8 Opera Gala, presented by Sheffield City Opera, 7.30pm (10).
9 Sharrow Festival, Mount Pleasant Park, 12-8pm
10 Crosspool Gardens Open Day, various gardens to view, including a wild flower meadow and the ever popular model railway garden, and for the first time the sensory and perfumed gardens at Cairn Home for the Blind and Elderly in Selborne Road, all supprting a different charity, 10am – 5pm (4, tickets from all participating gardens or from Stephen Hill Methodist Church,Manchester Road, where coffee will be served, 9.30am – noon).
