What’s the dividend? A meeting in the boardroom of the old Co-op in Sheffield city centre
Visitors to Castle House - the old Brightside and Carbrook Co-op in Snig Hill in Sheffield city centre - can now see the grand wood-panelled boardroom where the decisions were taken on the running of the store.
Guided tours of the sixties’ listed building are being given daily at 2.30pm as part of the University of Sheffield’s Festival of the Mind, which sees local artists displaying their work in the former department store.
The horseshoe-shaped table remains in the boardroom, as does the drinks cabinet and glasses. However, there is no longer anything in them. The Festival of the Mind, which runs until September 28, has events across Sheffield.
