Pigs with curly coats are here to 'sty' at farm
IS it a pig, is it a sheep?
Unusual looking woolly pigs are among new arrivals at a South Yorkshire visitors' farm.
Three Hungarian Mangalitza pigs with thick curly coats to insulate them from extreme temperatures are the latest attractions at Cannon Hall Farm in Cawthorne, near Barnsley.
The farm plans to introduce a boar and begin a breeding programme of the pigs.
Farm manager Robert Nicholson said: "The Mangalitza pigs are a great addition to our farm because they are so unusual to look at and have a curly coat that is almost like a sheep fleece.
"They will live outdoors and love nothing more than rooting round their paddock or lying in the sun."
