BARRATT Yorkshire West says it is once again pulling out all the stops to get buyers moving at its South Yorkshire developments by offering those reserving before the end of this month an array of deals.
Buyers who were thinking that they couldn’t afford a new home at Barratt’s popular Sheffield-based developments, Saunderson Gardens, Penistone and Innovations and The Gateway, Handsworth, will be delighted to know that they can now.
One of the deals available at the developments is FirstBuy, a shared equity programme which lets buyers move into a new home for just 80 per cent of the property price.
The scheme has been designed to give first-time buyers a route to home ownership at the lowest possible cost and with the lowest possible deposit.
Buyers will be offered a loan of up to 20 per cent of the price of the property, jointly funded by Barratt Yorkshire West and the Government’s Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
Barratt also has a selection of properties available under the Government’s NewBuy scheme.
NewBuy heralds the return of 95 per cent mortgages, making the move on to the property ladder a lot more affordable.
This Government-supported scheme allows purchasers to buy a new-build home with a 95 per cent mortgage.
The scheme is open to first-time buyers and existing home owners alike, providing that they have a five per cent deposit.
Move-up buyers can also benefit from 100 per cent Part Exchange. The process is simple and has been a huge success with Barratt buyers for more than 30 years.
Part Exchange was designed to aid the move from a house to a home, the sales advisers arrange for two independent professional valuations of the current property, then offer the top valuation, acting as a cash buyer.
This means no hassle, no chain, no estate agent’s fees and no last-minute price haggling. Barratt says the process is really simple and can save purchasers thousands of pounds.
Anyone who reserves by the end of the month and completes by the end of June is in for an extra treat.
Barratt will offer a selection of extras to those who meet the cut-off point, including appliances and carpets.
The offers are available on selected plots at Barratt developments in the Sheffield area but time is running out, especially at The Gateway, where there are just a handful of properties left due to huge sales success.
Prices start at just £89,995 for a one-bedroom apartment at the Innovations development.
Buyers wanting to view before they buy can visit one of the show homes at Saunderson Gardens, The Gateway and Innovations – all of which have been designed to highlight their individual potential with colour palettes and accessories to suit all tastes.
