Visitors can admire the large garden, woodlands and meadow at a home in Dore this weekend as part of an event for the National Gardens Scheme.
Roger and Sue Thompson are opening up the grounds of Owl End, their house in Newfield Lane, on Saturday and Sunday from 1.30pm to 5pm.
Sue said it is the fifth time the garden has been listed in the scheme’s traditional Yellow Book, but added that ‘every year is different’.
“Different plants seem to be flowering and the weather definitely varies,” she said. “It’s a really worthwhile way to share the garden and raise money for charity.”
Entry £3.50, children go free.
