Sheffield shootings cost 8 lives in 7 years
GUN attacks in Sheffield have cost eight lives over the last seven years.
Safrajur Rahman Jahangir, aged 23, of Darnall, was blasted at close range through the driver's side of his car as he was either sat in the silver Vauxhall Corsa, slowing down or setting off from Scraith Wood Drove, Shirecliffe, on Friday night.
Detectives believe he was assassinated in a targeted attack and have arrested three men over the shooting.

His death came just eight weeks after 22-year-old James Kamara, of Pitsmoor, was killed in a drive-by shooting on Brunswick Street, Broomhall, when he and a group of friends were shot at from a car which then drove off and was later torched.
Five men have been charged over the shooting.
A year earlier in July 2008 Tarek Chaiboub, 17, of Castledine Gardens, Wincobank, was shot dead outside a barber's shop on Spital Street, Burngreave, by fellow members of notorious S3 postcode gang he was part of.
Three men and a 17-year-old have been jailed for a total of 110 years for the murder.
In October 2007, S3 member Jonathan Matondo, 16, of Verdon Street, Burngreave, was shot dead on the Nottingham Cliff recreation ground, Burngreave.
Detectives believed he was killed by members of a rival postcode gang but nobody has been convicted of his murder.
In March 2007, taxi driver Younis Khan, 53, of Abbeyfield Road, Pitsmoor, was shot dead in his cab.
Sheffield Crown Court heard he was executed on the orders of brothers David and Ashley Cohen who wanted revenge after they were crossed by Mr Khan's son. They were both jailed for life.
In June 2006 former drug dealer Ibrahim Ilyas, 20, of Pitsmoor, was gunned down in a city drug war. His killer has been jailed.
And on New Year's Day 2003 Lester Divers, 32, was executed outside his home in Walkley. Two men were jailed over the killing.
In December 2002 dad-of-seven Gerald Smith was blasted in the head in a drive-by shooting as he stood outside the Afro Caribbean Club on Spital Hill, Burngreave.
He was in the wrong place at the wrong time and had no connection with the nine Nottingham men who had travelled to Sheffield on a revenge mission after one of their gang was robbed in a city takeaway.
