Passengers are invited to let the steam train take the strain on a special scenic excursion departing from Sheffield.
The Cathedrals Express will be taking passengers from the Steel City on Thursday, June 5, travelling through the Yorkshire Dales and North Pennines on the way to Carlisle.
A planned trip in 2013 was called off due to an engine failure, but organisers say they have a spare locomotive arranged as back-up this year to ensure the trip goes ahead.
Marcus Robertson, Steam Dreams chairman, said: “As steam journeys go, it doesn’t get much better than this.
“We are particularly delighted to be visiting Sheffield for the first time, as last year we had to postpone our trip due to engine failure.”
Tickets cost between £115 and £239 per person.
