TV crew to film bouldering event
A MAJOR climbing event in Sheffield will be filmed by a TV production company.
Yorkshire Forward has agreed to fund filming of the British Bouldering Championships at the Cliffhanger event in Millhouses Park on the weekend of July 11 and 12.
The company has also produced a short publicity film to promote Cliffhanger, featuring former world champion trials mountain bike rider Ben Slinger, and freerunner Daniel Ilabaca racing through Sheffield.
Ben will be at the Cliffhanger event which will include demonstrations of rock climbing, orienteering, mountain biking, kayaking, running, skateboarding and free running – an acrobatic method of running through urban areas.
New attractions for this year include an urban fell race, adventure race, bowling and archery. There will also be music, children's rides, food stalls and a market.
