One of the country's biggest pop bands will be entertaining a select audience in Sheffield next week in the latest in a series of Intimate and Exclusive gigs hosted by Real Radio and Sheffield City Council.
The Feeling will be playing in front of a specially invited group of listeners at Sheffield's award-winning Winter Garden on July 22.
The band, who were nominated for a Best Song BRIT Award for Fill My Little World, will be performing tracks from
their two albums, Twelve Stops and Home and Join With Us, including I Love It When You Call, I Thought It Was Over and new single Turn It Up. Along with the main attraction, guests will be treated to a drinks reception courtesy of the Mercure St Paul's Hotel.
Playing in front of just a few hundred people in a unique setting, The Feeling's secret Sheffield gig comes just a few days after their appearance at T4 On The Beach and a few weeks before they take to the main stage at the V Festival.
Steve South, managing director at Real Radio, said:
"Our Intimate and Exclusive with The Feeling follows previous special gigs from The Magic Numbers, Alison Moyet, Richard Hawley and Duke Special and promises to be another night of fantastic live music for our listeners.
"This gig has been made possible thanks to our ongoing relationship with Sheffield City Council which centres on a joint commitment to showcasing Sheffield through music. We have more nights like this lined up and The Feeling's performance promises to be a great start."
Councillor Paul Scriven, Leader of Sheffield City Council, said:
"We are proud to host this intimate concert in the Winter Garden. The venue is a perfect setting for live music events, and this exclusive evening will showcase the Winter Garden as the world-class public space that it is.
"We wanted to try and give as many of our young people as possible the chance to go along to this event. So we have allocated tickets to city secondary schools to reward pupil achievement, and to looked-after children in the city. We hope that this will be a successful event and everyone will have a great time. We will be aiming to hold more similar events in the future.''
