PLAYING at Cubana on Monday is The Sarah Jay Trio which is led by the former singer from iconic trip-hop outfit Massive Attack.
Since she's appearing in the Mellow Monday slot at the Trippet Lane tapas bar it is safe not to expect the electronic blast of the Bristol sound.

Sweet harmonies with a soulful acoustic folk vibe will apparently be the order of the night as the vocalist provides a cool mix of original material and contemporary covers.

Also next week Cubana launches Flamenco Thursdays with guitarist Andrew Clegg taking over a weekly residency. An evening of Spanish Flamenco classical guitar blending elements of invigorating Latin rhythms with evocative melodies from southern Spain.
