City's Diversity Day screen stars

YOUNG film-makers from three city schools are vying to represent Sheffield in the finals of a Europe-wide competition in Vienna in November.
After a screening of the entries for the Sheffield City Council Diversity Day 2008 Film Competition on Tuesday at the Showroom, three films were selected to go forward to the European stage of judging to pick the overall Sheffield winner.

They wer
e Being Different – Belonging Together by Tapton School pupils Lawrence Aspin, Mehnaz Abdul Gaffur, Elyas Blidi, Seif El-Ghariani and Michael Liu; Age by City School's James Little, Nathan Warren and Hannah Wolstenholme and Animation made by High Storrs student Jacob Waterall.

The finalists are pictured with Coun Paul Scriven, leader of Sheffield City Council, council equality officer Brett Shaw and Brigidin Crowther from Creative Partnerships.
