The final shortlist of bidders in the running to win a contract from Sheffield City Council has been published.
Since the search for new suppliers and future partners to replace its existing supplier contracts which are soon coming to an end, the Council has narrowed the list down to two bidders.

For services currently being delivered by the existing suppli
ers, including revenue and benefits, information communication technology, financial business processing and payroll, with the addition of elements of human resources, the final shortlist of bidders now stands at:

  • Capita Business Services Ltd; and

  • Fujitsu Services Ltd

The Council states that there has been no decision made yet on the shortlist for property and facilities management services.

Laraine Manley, Director of Corporate Resources at Sheffield City Council said:

"We have been encouraged by bidder submissions to date and look forward to further discussions with the shortlisted bidders in the next stage of the procurement process.

"Our aims are to reduce costs further through more efficient service delivery, while improving standards of service both to the citizens of Sheffield and within the Council for internal services, by finding a partner(s) that the Council can work with to make further long term improvements."

It is anticipated that the process for determining Sheffield City Council's future partner(s), and which services they will provide, will be concluded before the end of the year.
