CHARGES for off-street car parking in Sheffield city centre are due to increase by between 5p and 40p from Sunday.
Thirty minutes in Carver Street or Rockingham Street car parks in the central zone will cost 75p instead of 70p. An hour will cost £1.45 instead of £1.40.

On the edge of the city centre, such as at the top of Fitzwilliam Street or in Bailey Lane, fees are increasing from £2 to £2.10 per hour, for example.

The highest rise is for all-day parking in long-stay zones, such as Brook Hill, Spring Street and Broad Lane, up from £6 to £6.40.
The city council expects the new tariffs to be displayed on all machines by Sunday.
