MARGARET Hides, the wife of former Morning Telegraph editor Michael Hides, has died, aged 82.
Margaret was a well known and prolific travel writer, who worked for many years for the Sunday Times and the Observer and after becoming a wheelchair user in later life specialised in writing about travel for disabled people.

Michael Hides, who was educated at King Edward VII school, Sheffield, edited the Morning Telegraph from 1968 to 1983, when it was Sheffield's morning newspaper and died several years ago at the couple's home in Canterbury, Kent.
