Sheffield Harmony is organising an art competition to design an album cover for its new CD, which is being released next winter.
The a cappella singing group, comprising more than 50 female voices, is offering young people aged between 15 and 21, the opportunity to use their creative skills to produce an original piece of artwork to be showcased on the front cover of their album entitled Christmas Crackappella
Judges will include Elaine Carter, president of Sheffield Harmony, and chorus Gold Sponsor Peter Holmes, of Mercury Taxis.
First prize will be an HMV voucher for £25, plus a complimentary copy of the CD and two tickets for Sheffield Harmony’s Christmas concert 2014.
Entrants must submit their work in a 12cm x 12 cm format to Sheffield Harmony Art Work Competition, 19 Totley Hall Croft, Totley, Sheffield, S17 4BE by April 30.
Sheffield Harmony’s Christmas CD was recorded this spring and will feature barbershop arrangements of traditional Christmas carols and festive favourites.
