A warm welcome at Westbourne

Westbourne
Westbourne

Our girls and boys are part of a diverse, vibrant community in a place where competitive spirit flourishes alongside courtesy, integrity and kindness to others.

Pupil focused, we encourage our children to take the reins and to show you around their school.

They will show you the many interesting and varied activities that your child could engage in, should you choose a Westbourne education.

We offer state of the art ICT equipment, with four fully-equipped ICT Suites including a new Apple Mac suite with revolutionary video editing software.

We have dedicated science laboratories, art and music suites with outstanding language teaching throughout.

Music is a passion at Westbourne, with a dynamic team of experts encouraging young talent both within and outside the curriculum.

Westbourne is small enough for everyone to get to know each other but large enough to offer opportunities and access to the facilities that you would expect from a much bigger school.

A strong foundation of learning is the key to our success, tailored to suit children of all ages and levels of ability.

Our small class sizes at every level from Reception upwards guarantees that all pupils receive the personal attention that they need.

The most recent ISI inspection emphasised that the quality of teaching and learning at Westbourne is outstanding and for the last three years, the judgement for the Early Years Provision is again outstanding.

That accolade is supported by excellent GCSE results which make our academically non-selective school extremely proud.

Academic endeavour may be at the heart of Westbourne life, but we take great pride in supporting every boy and girl as they are encouraged to achieve their own full potential and be the best they can in every area from sport to the arts.

Westbourne has a warmth and vitality that is apparent to our visitors; we would welcome the opportunity of sharing some of that with you.

The next Open Morning takes place on Saturday October 8 between 10am and noon.
