BOLLYWOOD dancing at a fundraising night raised £1,500 for a trip to India.
The evening at Antioch Community Church, Sheffield city centre, was to collect cash to visit Bangalore.
Members of the church, off Headford Street, need to raise £14,000 so a group of 16 can travel in April and do good works with community projects and an orphanage.
More than 100 people enjoyed a curry, Bollywood dancing and an auction.
John Buck, church training school director, said: “We raised about £1,500 for the trip and had a good time dancing, it was hilarious. “There were about 100 people giving it a good go.
“We’d also like to thank the businesses which donated food, and everyone who came along or helped - The Brunch Stop, Fitzwilliams International Food Market and Martin’s Good to Go.”
