SHEFFIELD songbird Alicia Rudd proved she has the horse factor after wowing the judges in a competition run by the Hungry Horse pub chain.
Alicia, aged 23, from Dore, beat more than 4,000 other entrants to win the £500 runner-up prize.
Alicia, who works as an office administrator, said: “I entered the competition in July at the Sherwood Hungry Horse in Frecheville and I am so pleased to have got as far as the national final.
“I used to do a lot of gigs around South Yorkshire in various different pubs and clubs and then I started entering competitions to try and get noticed. Singing is my life and my dream, for me it’s not about fame and fortune but about doing what I love - singing in front of crowds.”
A spokesperson for Hungry Horse said: “The competition has been a huge success.”
