A planning application has been lodged seeking permission to stage the RHS Chatsworth flower show next year.
Organisers the Royal Horticultural Society want to put up several temporary structures on a yearly basis, along with river crossings and show gardens.
The temporary venues include a replica of Joseph Paxton’s Great Conservatory, a champagne and seafood restaurant, and a dome where science, technology and design will be exhibited.
Three bridges are also set to span the River Derwent.
The gardening celebration will happen from June 7 to 11 next year in the grounds of the house.
The site will cover 28 acres and 80,000 visitors are expected.
