THE Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, will visit Sheffield Forgemasters and attend the Cutlers Feast on May 19 during a two-day visit to the Diocese of Sheffield.

His city itinerary includes a tour of the Archer Project for homeless people, which is based at the Cathedral, and the Attercliffe/Darnall Family Development Project in Chapelwood Road, where he will take part in a discussion on the ‘Big Society’. On the day before, he will visit Doncaster and Barnsley.

“Our aim is to give the Archbishop an idea of some of the issues affecting people’s lives in the diocese, as well as celebrating many things we are deeply grateful for,” said the Bishop of Sheffield, Dr Steven Croft.
