Arsonist jailed over car fire
AN arsonist has been jailed for two years for setting fire to a car. Ian Ward, aged 46, of Didcot Close, Chesterfield, targeted the Citro�n Xzara when it was parked on the driveway of a house on Milton Crescent in the town in the early hours of October 8, last year. He was arrested and charged with arson after his blood was found on the car door near to a smashed window. Ward pleaded guilty to the offence and was jailed following a hearing at Derby Crown Court.
