ST Luke’s Hospice celebrates its Festival of Light on Sunday at 6pm.
Thousands of tiny lights will illuminate the grounds off Little Common Lane until Twelfth Night – each one celebrating a life.
The switch-on ceremony will be performed by Audrey Rose, one of the founders of the festival and a tireless supporter for fundraising efforts in aid of the hospice, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
At least 2,000 people are expected to attend the event which also includes carol singing, mulled wine, hot drinks and mince pies.
It will be the last festival before work starts on the hospice extension.
