Barbers help city homeless

Staff at a barber shop have raised over £1,000 to help homeless people in Sheffield.

Jayne Nettleton and Deanna Farnen, of Esquire barber shop, in Eckington, arranged a charity event earlier this month to raise money and awareness for the Archer project in Sheffield for the homeless.

With the help of friends and family they managed to raise £1,006, with different stalls selling popcorn, icecream, cakes and a tombola.

Jayne said: “It was a fantastic day and we are delighted to have raised so much money for such a fantastic cause. Thank you to everybody who attended and donated.”

Performing at the event were Excel Martial Arts Founder Liam Richards and there amazing martial arts kids Cole along with Sharnie Richards of Excel Dance.

Also performing were the S20 singing choir, Jordan Rooker singing from there band Monoking and the help of our dj Steve Mchugh.

There was also a catwalk of models showing of hairstyles of the modern man, which were created the barbers.
