Biker ‘did not lose control’ before crash

A coroner has dismissed a claim that a Sheffield biker died after losing control of his motorcycle.

John Bryan, aged 42, of Jordanthorpe, was killed in a crash with a car on Quarry Hill, Mosborough, last September.

Motorist Trevor Millington, who was driving the Renault Megane involved in the crash, told police the biker ‘appeared to lose control’ as he overtook a coach parked close to Parkgate Drive, which he was intending to pull out of.

Coroner Christopher Dorries recorded a narrative verdict, saying it was ‘abundantly clear’ the car had emerged from the minor road.
