Labour’s Clive Betts has kept his Sheffield South East seat in the general election.
The constituency was thought to be one of the safest Labour seats in the country, and Mr Betts secured a majority of 10,505 in 2010.
He was first elected to the seat of Sheffield Attercliffe in 1992.
See The Star’s live blog for updates from reporter Ellen Beardmore, who was at the count.
