A total of 103 jobs are to be created as a homecare and healthcare company opens headquarters in Sheffield city centre.

Ark Home Healthcare is to open a £10.4m customer response centre in The Square, near Park Square roundabout after assistance from Creative Sheffield, the economic development arm of the council.

Jobs will be created in finance, human resources, IT, planning and customer services. Chief executive officer Mark Lavery said: “The selected location is prime Grade A office space in the centre of Sheffield which offers options for further expansion.”

The company looks after thousands of people across the UK in their own homes, providing online care worker tracking and an immediate response to customer needs.

Ark was given Government Regional Growth Funding of up to £500,000.
