Regional manufacturers and engineers are invited to an event dedicated to Advances in Machining, which is being held at the Mid Yorkshire Golf Club in Pontefract on January 27.
The conference, organised by AEM Yorkshire, in conjunction with NAMTEC (National Metals Technology Centre), will feature some of the leading figures in machining and in advanced engineering and materials, such as Gregor Kappmeyer, global head of machining at Rolls-Royce and Mark Wilson, head of manufacturing technology at BAE Systems.
They and other leading manufacturers will share their expertise in a bid to further enhance the competitiveness of the UK in this area on a national and international scale.
Speakers at the event will present on the subject of machining technology and innovations in working with machine alloys and other materials, including a focus on materials that are often difficult to work with.
The event will be supported by RWE npower, with the company giving delegates the opportunity to take a tour of its operations at their facility nearby.
The registration fee for this event is £25 and exhibition space, including a table and space for a pop-up stand is priced from £50.
Places can be booked online at www.aemyorkshire.com/events or contact Mark Stringfellow for further details on 01709 722479 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
