A VINTAGE bus trundled into the town centre as Rotherham hosted its first mobile wedding fayre.

The stylish event was organised by business The Wedding Lounge, based in the Imperial Buildings, off Corporation Street, and South Yorkshire Transport Museum at Aldwarke provided the wheels outside Rotherham Minster.

Sheree Ratcliffe, of The Wedding Lounge, said: “The bus had on board a collection of local wedding service providers and young creative designers with a vintage flair.

“We also had a wandering minstrel who writes and performs wedding songs!

“The event was a combination of businesses and charity working together.”

Sheree said the event was an example of how firms are trying to innovate and grow despite competition from Meadowhall and Parkgate shopping complexes.
