A bus load of business experts is helping to launch MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival 2015, when the StartUp Britain tour visits Sheffield on Friday.
The nationwide tour is set to join forces with MADE organisers and Business Sheffield’s advice team to offer free mentoring and workshops aimed at anyone interested in starting or growing a business.
Parking up at Barkers Pool, the StartUp Britain Bus Tour aims to ‘unleash entrepreneurship across Britain’.
The council’s Business Sheffield team will also be on board.
Bus goers will also get a discount code for the main MADE festival event at Sheffield City Hall on Thursday, October 22. Full price tickets are £50,
This year’s lineup of speakers includes former member of JLS, JB Gill, and multi-millionaire mumpreneur Annabel Karmel
As well as the usual mix of success stories, this year’s MADE will focus on offering festival goers practical advice with a series of masterclasses covering key business topics such as low cost digital marketing, increasing sales and customer service.
Key sponsors include Irwin Mitchell, The University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University and The Sheffield College.
A Sheffield City Council spokeswoman said: “MADE aims to be a place which inspires people to run and develop their own businesses, learn more about what it is like to be an entrepreneur and most importantly – meet others to develop opportunities.”
A programme of Fringe events is from October 19 – 23.
