MORE than 100 people braved the pouring rain for the annual Graysons WE charity carol concert in Paradise Square.

Guitarist Stuart Frost and singers from Sheffield Cathedral Choir – with colleagues from the Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus - were this year joined by a special guest in 102-year-old Lily Frisby, who was born at 29 Paradise Street and recalled fond memories of the Radio Sheffield carol concert she attended on a Sunday evening for many years.

The concert raised almost, helped by a collection from staff at Graysons WE’s dress-down event on the previous day. The funds will be donated to The Special Care Baby Unit, Jessops Wing at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
