Finance firm wins six awards for deals

BHP Corporate Finance collected an unprecedented six awards at the South Yorkshire Insider Dealmakers Awards 2011.

The tally included being voted Corporate Finance Advisory Firm of the Year for the fourth year in succession.

Partner David Forrest won Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year and Dealmaker of the Year, reflecting his role as lead advisor on some of the most prominent deals in the region over the last 12 months. These included the buyouts of Amco Drilling/Developments, Insight Architectural Glazing and the sale of Technophobia to Capita Group.

Livefoods Direct, a VIMBO on which director John Longstaff and manager Tom Roberts advised, won the Mid-Market Deal of the Year award for transactions up to £5m.

John Warner won the Lifetime Achievement Award, reflecting the huge contribution he has made over the last 25 years. The Corporate Finance team won Dealmaking Firm of the Year.

David Forrest said: “It is great that the team’s abilities and achievements are recognised in this way by our peers.”
