Financial software developer Intuit is staging a Financial Fitness workshop as part of Sheffield’s MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival.
Intuit is the company behind the QuickBooks business accounting package and one of MADE’s headline sponsors.
Its workshop will be free for all delegates attending the MADE festival and will be hosted by entrepreneur turned social action pioneer Oli Barrett and experienced finance director and business coach Johnny Martin.
Entries have opened for the 2012 Barnsley & Rotherham Business Awards.
Awards are being presented in 10 categories and entries have to be submitted by Friday. September 14.
Entries are open to all businesses in Barnsley and Rotherham and businesses from outside the area that are members of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.

Business insolvencies have fallen in Yorkshire, but the proportion of the region’s businesses hitting finacial problems remains high at more than one in 10, according to global information services company Experian.
It says Yorkshire insolvencies fell by 10 per cent between July 2011 and July 2012.
Although the failure rate rose in the East Midlands, the percentage of the business population failing was slightly lower than in Yorkshire.
