Sheffield Precision Medical, which makes instruments for orthopaedic surgeons, is increasing its workforce from 27 to 53 over the next three years and increasing capacity in response to a growing export business.

The company is investing more than £2m in an extension of its Petre Street premises and installing new machines and systems. Exports currently account for 40% of its £3.5m turnover, with clients in Europe and America.
