A Sheffield company is launching a new recruitment programme for A-level students who may have decided university is not for them.

Mondelēz International, which has a confectionery and biscuit factory at Owlerton, wants to train young people for careers in food manufacturing - with guaranteed jobs at the end of a three-year programme.

The application process is now underway with the first batch of trainees due to start work next summer.

Successful teenagers will be put on real jobs from the start, within one of four departments - sales, supply chain, engineering or HR.
