DLA Piper has retained its eight 2010/11 trainees as newly-qualified lawyers. Richard Blackburn, Matt Price, Laura Holloway, Chris Simkins, Jennifer Waterhouse and Elizabeth Wiseman have been offered positions in Sheffield, working across the corporate, insurance, real estate, intellectual property and technology and employment teams. Jessica Hill and Tasmia Alam go to the Leeds litigation and London corporate practices, respectively.

The office is also continuing its commitment to supporting Yorkshire’s aspiring lawyers, welcoming eight new trainees on to a structured training programme for the two years ahead.

Duncan Mosley, partner responsible for graduate recruitment and training at DLA Piper in Sheffield, said: “we are only ever as good as our people and therefore take our graduate recruitment and training processes very seriously, investing in the right talent for the future of DLA Piper.

“All our new starters are very capable young lawyers who have worked hard throughout their training and we’re very pleased to welcome them as newly qualified solicitors into the firm.

“We will be working with them over the coming months and years to ensure we are able to provide the best possible start to their legal careers.”
