Nabarro’s Sheffield office welcomed a new member to its Commercial Litigation team during August.

Law student, Leah Rowles, joined the team to gain valuable work experience and put her current legal knowledge into practice.

Leah’s placement at Nabarro was organised by the charity, Whizz-Kids, which supports young disabled people in gaining essential life skills. Her placement was part of the ongoing ‘Kidz Unlimited’ project. With Lottery funding, and run by the charity and its partners, the project aims to provide young disabled people with tailored work skills, leadership and team building opportunities, increasing their independence and confidence.

Leah spent a week getting to know the team and becoming immersed in life at Nabarro, undertaking detailed research for clients’ cases and offering helpful advice.

Leah said:

“My week at Nabarro has been very interesting and informative, and one which will assist me greatly in my future studies. I have very much enjoyed my time and the atmosphere at Nabarro. Thanks to everyone involved for a great week!”

Partner George Lubega, who worked closely with Leah, said:

“It was a real pleasure to give Leah the chance to see what we do on a day-to-day basis. Her enthusiasm for the work and infectious laugh made her time here fun for our team and I am delighted that she got so much out of it.

“Nabarro is committed to diversity and support of our local communities and we are very happy to have supported Leah, an excellent Whizz-kids ambassador.”
