TWO projects of Sheffield-based Jefferson Sheard Architects were honoured at the awards of the Society of Chief Architects of Local Authorities.

Hartlepool Sixth Form College was Education Building of 2011 and The Sheffield City College campus was highly commended in the sustainability category.

Jefferson Sheard director Tom Rhys Jones said “I was very proud that we should be the only architects to have two projects in the shortlist of ten in this important national award. I was delighted too that our clients were there to enjoy the evening with us – successful projects depend upon the input of informed and committed clients such as we have at Hartlepool and Sheffield.”

The President’s dinner and award ceremony took place in Leeds.
