Landmark Oneleven taking shape
THE first of the six floors and the new reception of a multi-million pound landmark development in the heart of Sheffield has been completed.
The second storey at Oneleven, which is prominently situated on Arundel Gate, has been completed and potential occupiers can now see at first hand the high quality of the office space on offer. In addition, a brand new feature reception area has been created, providing occupiers with a high profile entrance to the building for staff and visitors alike.
Over 4million has been invested in the building formerly known colloquially as "the YE Building" with one and a half additional new floors added. The building now has a stunning new faade that has been designed to complement the regeneration work in the city's centre. The development will lift the Castle Square area of the City both physically and aesthetically.
The remainder of the building will be complete and ready for occupation in May 2008.
Jonathan Gale from property consultants GVA Grimley is marketing the scheme jointly with Knight Frank. He says: "Oneleven is an outstanding building that will appeal to a wide number of occupiers looking for a central location with all the benefits of excellent design and a full Grade A specification. There is also ample parking provided within the building at the lower ground level, which is accessed from Esperanto Place.
"The full height curtain wall glazing on the front of the building gives Oneleven an iconic feel and the excellent transport links, including a supertram stop just 100 meters from the front door, only adds to the appeal."
Hugh Miller from developer Simonsig Investments says: "We believe that this building will strongly appeal to the legal sector due to its flexible layout and prominent central location, as well as the extensive secure basement storage areas."
Jonathan Gale adds: "We already have a number of firms interested in the building and we are expecting to secure a pre-let in the next few months."
