A COMPANY set up to generate electricity from renewable sources has been backed by Heeley MP Meg Munn.
A COMPANY set up to generate electricity from renewable sources has been backed by Heeley MP Meg Munn.
The Labour politician met representatives of Sheffield Renewables, based in Alexandra Road, Heeley, which is working on hydro-electricity generation schemes on the River Don at Jordan Dam, near Meadowhall, and Kelham Island.
Ms Munn said: “The new projects at Sheffield Renewables are a fine example of how local businesses are beginning to make a real impact on our environment.
The politician added: “The dedication and enthusiasm of the Sheffield Renewables team is inspiring to see and I give them all my full support.”
