A group dedicated to raising the profile of Sheffield’s women in property has relaunched with an exclusive event at one of the city’s most iconic developments.
More than 40 people attended the Yorkshire and North East branch of the Association of Women in Property forum at Park Hill flats, in the city centre.
The first in a series of Women in Property events in Sheffield, it included a site visit and presentation from Urban Splash, followed by a buffet lunch and networking.
It was organised by lawyers from the Sheffield office of Kennedys, who are working together with DLA Piper to highlight the role of women working in commercial property across the Sheffield City Region.
Helen Mills, solicitor in the construction team at international law firm Kennedys, said: “The Yorkshire and North East branch of the Association of Women in Property has established groups elsewhere, so this new local initiative will provide women working in the industry with a platform to build relationships, share best practice and network at a series of targeted events.”
The inaugural event was followed by a networking lunch organised by DLA Piper at Ego in Sheffield city centre.
The committee will be rolling out a series of regular events throughout 2012.
