PwC raises £5,600 for St Luke’s
SHEFFIELD professional services specialists PwC has made a donation of £5,678 to St Luke’s Hospice.
The hospice, at Whirlow, last year celebrated its 40th anniversary and is the oldest facility of its kind outside London. It costs more than £700 per hour to keep the hospice running and every year the charity needs to raise £4 million towards its annual running cost of £6 million.
John Cowling, senior partner in PwC’s Sheffield office, said: “We are more than happy to support St Luke’s and their work to help care for people with serious illnesses and their families. I am pleased that so many of our staff have been involved in supporting something that makes such a significant impact on people. This funding will help the charity continue to provide specialised care to people who truly need it.”
