Revamp for post office

BANNER Cross Post Office on Ecclesall Road in Sheffield is being modernised with an open-plan look and longer opening hours including Saturday afternoons.

The branch will close for refurbishment on Thursday, January 10, and reopen on Saturday, January 19.

The nearest alternative post offices are Millhouses on Abbeydale Road, and Sharrow Vale on Sharrow Vale Road.

Adrian Wales, regional network manager, said: “We are confident this new modern service will meet the needs of the community.”

The branch will be open from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm.
