SNOW is causing public transport delays and many bus services are running on main roads only in South Yorkshire and the region.

Sheffield city centre roads are relatively clear - view for yourself, click here for our links to the city’s live traffic cameras.

Side roads are beginning to thaw but many reamin “treacherous” or slushy and slippery at best, say Twitter users.

The Snake Pass and Woodhead Pass, linking the area with Manchester, were both closed.

Sheffield Supertram is operating a normal service on all tram routes and most trains are operating without delays.

Doncaster Robin Hood Airport bosses say heavy snowfall was experienced overnight but this morning’s first flight departed and currently no significant delays are expected.

47/48 - using Rock St, terminating at Firth Park

22 - missing Spinkhill to Woodhouse

53 - terminating at St Peters Church at Low Edges, avoiding Greaves Rd.

56 - service suspended
