The Fuse in national final HEAR SINGLE

A five-piece rock band from Chesterfield is one step closer to recording a track written by Lemar and Mark Hill.

The Fuse, with band members Freddie Bingham, Keelan Burke, Jamie Cockayne, Ryan Stock and George Millward, aged between 12 and 15, have made the Grand National Final of Live and Unsigned.

The Chesterfield band battled out more than 10,000 registered applicants to reach the final in Fairfield Halls, London on June 28.

A spokesperson for The Fuse said:

"To get to this stage of the competition is amazing! And thanks to all our fans who have supported us throughout Live and Unsigned, but it's now that we really need your support, it's going to be really tough in the final but we know we can do it if we put all our effort in to it, we hope that doing this competition will get us noticed and hopefully, some 'big name' in the music industry will get us up there in the charts with the UK's top artists!"

The overall winner of the under 18's Live and Unsigned competition wins the opportunity to record their own complete album, working with vocal coaches in recording studios, and the option of recording a track written by Lemar and Mark Hill (Producer of Craig David).

Chris Grayston, Events Director of Live & Unsigned said:

"We are interested in discovering and exposing talent at its best; live! It is as simple as we say Get Live, get signed. This is such an opportunity to all the Grand Finalists with press exposure, A & R at the final and the chance to win the recording contract to release their debut single, let alone looking great on the CV."

Before the Grand final The Fuse, along with the other Live and Unsigned finalists, will be filmed and broadcasted on SKY TV's new 'Red TV' channel on Tuesday and Saturday evenings between 8-9pm starting from April 22.

Tickets to the final are available from the Fairfield Hall box office at www.fairfield.co.uk or for more information visit the website www.liveandunsigned.uk.com
