Anthony Benton has joined the £70m turnover skills development and welfare to work specialist and will take the lead in directing its UK skills delivery across all group companies.
He will spend much of his time at the group’s office on Sheffield Business Park and will report directly to chief executive, Gavin Freed.
He brings lengthy experience of the education sector, systems, process and commercial performance.
Professionally qualified with a degree and background in Mechanical Engineering, Mr Benton was previously managing director of Foundation Software Solutions, managing director for Tribal Software and Services and, more recently, COO for Tribal Education.
Mr Freed said: “The role of Chief Operating Officer for Skills is a new position within esg. and one which is key to the achievement of our future growth plans.
“Anthony’s experience and proven track record of empowering people to succeed makes him the ideal candidate to help drive forward esg. in what is an increasingly competitive sector.”
