South Yorkshire lubricant specialists Pennine have announced two key promotions as the operation continues to boom in the face of recession.
Founded in 1989, the Wadsley Bridge operation offers a range of products including automotive lubricants, metalworking fluids, lubrication equipment, greases and pastes, hygiene products and more.
John Grierson has spent the past 13 years working his way through the ranks of the organisation since he landed a summer job in 1998 filling oil drums.
He eventually moved into field sales and has now been promoted to sales director.
The company put their success, which has seen year-on-year growth for the past four years, down to their customer service and attention to detail.
John Grierson said: “We know our customers by name, not by postcodes or account numbers and our personalised service is paramount to our success. We have exceptional staff retention which helps us to offer a unique, customer focussed service in this area.”
Andrew McClean is now heading up the company’s day to day operation following his promotion from technical director to managing director.
He said: “Pennine has grown to become one of the UK’s leading independent lubricants manufacturers and I’m looking forward to developing the company still further in my new role. The company has a team of dedicated and loyal staff that has built a great client base and we continually monitor and research new products and keep one step ahead of our competitors.”
