Police chief to speak at Feast

Britain’s highest ranking police officer, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, will be principal guest and speaker at the annual Cutlers’ Feast tonight (Thursday). He was born in Brighside and served in the local force.

Also speaking at the Cutlers’ Hall will be Daniel Evans, artistic director of the Crucible, of which Master Cutler Neil MacDonald is a trustee.
