The Original Factory Shop in Stocksbridge has raised £108 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

The store, on Manchester Road, donated a percentage of its Bag for Life sales to the hospice.

The donation is part of company’s Make a Difference in Your Community charity campaign, through which stores fundraise for a local charity.

Store manager Lisa Fox thanked customers for buying the bags.

“Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is really deserving, and we’re pleased to be able to make a difference to those who need it in the community,” she said. “It just goes to show every single penny can really help towards this very worthy cause.”

The company has raised more than £500,000 since launching the campaign in 2010.
